License: To run the writing contest, The Rotten Apple needs to be able to do certain things with the students’ works, such as copying, editing, and displaying them to process and judge submissions, award prizes, and publicize winning entries. To do these things, we need permission from you. So, when you submit your work to the writing contest, you give The Rotten Apple permission to use your work in a wide variety of ways without further permission or approval from you. This means you grant The Rotten Apple a license to use, copy, publish, distribute, exhibit, and use your work for study. This last point is related to giving permission to The Rotten Apple to use your essays for analysis and interpretation that could eventually result in publication of a study or studies.
