School Outreach: A trip to the cinema and memory tour through the USACH

Within the framework of territorialization and outreach with the school network for Pedagogy in Spanish program internships, an activity focused on post-dictatorship memory was organized with the Liceo Polivalente A-28 Emilia Toro de Balmaceda. Three enthusiastic groups of students watched the movie “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas” at the University Cinema and then toured through our house of studies, taking a break in every memorial site.

The visit was guided by Constanza Ulloa (Intermediate Internship Professor and School Spanish Teacher), Irma Asenjo (School History Teacher), Jorge Sánchez (Schools Outreach Manager), Pedagogy in Spanish students: Jorge Leyton, Leyra Oluín, Rocío González and Danae Adasme and School Outreach Manager, Jorge Sánchez.

This activity shows once again the dedication from our Pedagogy program, which generates a virtuous circle between the educational center, the students, and the teachers from both places, producing new knowledge for every part involved.
